BLACKSHAPE is a post-metal band from Salt Lake City, UT. The stunning music video for their song "ITIIITIATIIHYLIHYL", also affectionately known as “IHYL”, “I Hope You Live”, and “X”, found a worldwide audience in 2024 and introduced YouTube to BLACKSHAPE's cinematic, gaze-adjacent sound. This breakout track gained significant attention leading to a headline UK/EU tour culminating in their debut at the legendary ArcTanGent Festival. Currently, BLACKSHAPE is working on the follow-up to their 2021 self-titled album, which is slated for release in 2025.
